Deliverance Steps

“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” ~ Mark 16: 17-18

About one-third of Jesus’s ministry was casting out demons. While there is still not enough preaching of this subject and very few churches actually do deliverance – this is a big need because many believers are struggling with generational curses, demons and without casting these demons out, you as a child of God will never experience the full freedom that Jesus offers.

Before you are going to a deliverance (whether with me or anyone else) there is something you can do to help bring about your freedom. There are a few important issues that I recommend you deal with before coming for deliverance:

1. Repentance
2. Forgiveness
3. Renouncing
4. Breaking Curses
5. Breaking Soul Ties

I will go through each of these issues in detail and help you understand why they are crucial if you want to have a successful deliverance.

Repentance

Never ever do deliverance on anyone who is not a born-again believer. If you are not a born-again believer do not let anyone do deliverance on you. If somebody does not repent of their sins and accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour the deliverance is pointless because they will go right back sinning, and sin gives legal rights to demons to your life.

You need to repent first before you believe. Jesus never expected anyone to believe before they repented. This is a huge problem in today’s Christian culture that most pastors do not preach repentance. Without repentance, there is no salvation. You need to realize that you are a sinner, that without Jesus you’re heading to eternal hell.

You need to come to a point in your life when you realize that you are a sinner. That realization will bring forth sincere repentance, and in faith, you must believe that Jesus died and took your punishment and became the perfect sacrifice for your sins.

Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me for all my sins. I repent in Jesus’ name every sin I committed against You and everyone else. Please forgive me and receive my repentance. I welcome you Jesus to be the Lord and Savior over my life. Use me as You will. I pray in Jesus’ name.

Forgiveness

The demons can’t go if you don’t forgive. Unforgiveness gives legal rights to the demons to your life. If you don’t forgive the devil will have an advantage over you.

“But if you don’t forgive others, your Father in heaven will not forgive your sins.”  ~ Matthew 6:15

If you don’t forgive others, God does not forgive you. If God does not forgive you then you are not in the right standing with God. When it comes to deliverance unforgiveness gives demons the legal right not to leave. Before you want to be delivered ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you if you have any unforgiveness, grudges against anyone, and then make the conscious decision to forgive them for all the hurt. It’s also important to forgive yourself. When you repent and in faith accept Jesus’s sacrifices you must receive His forgiveness. So many people repent but do not accept forgiveness. So forgive everyone – yourself including.

Father, because You have forgiven me I choose to forgive others, everyone who has hurt me, lied to me, or disappointed me, abandoned me, mistreated me, or rejected me I forgive in the name of Jesus. I forgive all that have hurt me in the past and break off all spirits of offense that I have taken. I confess unforgiveness as a sin and repent of it.

Renouncing

Demons are in your life because you invited them over with activities that give legal rights to demons to your life. You have to renounce them and let them know that you no longer want them in your life. You need to deny them and cut the ties from the demons that are in your life.  When you renounce the demons you give them an eviction notice and break their legal rights.

The renouncing needs to be done by the person who wants to be delivered. In deliverance your words have power. The truth is your words always have power and if most people would understand how powerful words are they would think more before they speak. Your words change things in the spiritual realm. The power of blessing and cursing is in the tongue. Words create curses and curses keep you in bondage.

I renounce all agreements that I have made with satan and his demons, in the name of Jesus Christ.
I renounce and reject any satanic offering that I have ever made, in the name of Jesus.
I renounce any allegiances to the kingdom of darkness and satan, in Jesus’ name.
I renounce and uproot every demonic word that I have spoken and given the devil rights over my life in Jesus’s name.
I renounce all lust, perversion, immorality, uncleanness, impurity, sexual sin, and every unclean spirit that I have made any pact with, in the name of Jesus.
I renounce all witchcraft, sorcery, divination, occult involvement in the name of Jesus.
I renounce all ungodly soul ties, immoral relationships in the name of Jesus. I renounce any spirit husband or spirit wife or any demonic spiritual divorce papers that have come into my life in Jesus’ name.
I renounce all hatred, anger. resentment, revenge, retaliation, unforgiveness, and bitterness in the name of Jesus.
I renounce and uproot from my life every addiction, every demonic pharmakeia spirit that has me bound. [This pertains to the abuse of either prescription drugs or illegal drugs, such as marijuana, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, etc. Name the rug that has you bound, and renounce it in Jesus’ name.] I destroy these attacks, in the name of Jesus Christ.
I renounce all pride, all haughtiness, arrogance, vanity, ego, disobedience, and rebellion in the name of Jesus.
I renounce envy, jealousy, covetousness in the name of Jesus.
I renounce all fear, unbelief, doubt, and every tormenting spirit in the name of Jesus.
I renounce all selfishness, self-will, self pitty, self-rejection, self-hatred, and self-promotion in the name of Jesus.
I renounce all ungodly thought patterns and belief systems in the name of Jesus.
I renounce all ungodly covenants, oats, or vows made by myself or my ancestors in the name of Jesus.
I renounce any ungodly generational covenants that my family members on my father’s side, my mother’s side, and my ancestors going back ten generations have made. Release me now in Jesus’ name.

Breaking Courses

Curses need to be broken. Demons hang into curses, and curses give demons the right to still be there. Generational curses need to be broken.

You don’t necessarily need to be present and lay hands on someone to break generational curses. They generally don’t come out as demons, they just need to be broken.

I am redeemed from every curse through the blood of Jesus Christ. I am a seed of Abraham and his blessing is mine. I choose blessing instead of cursing and I choose life instead of death.
I break and release myself from all generational curses and iniquities as a result of ancestors in the name of Jesus.
I break and release myself from all generational curses that my family members on my father’s side, my mother’s side and all my ancestors going back ten generations have made. Let them be broken in Jesus’ name.
I break all curses of witchcraft, sorcery, and divination in the name of Jesus.
I break and release myself from all curses of pride, arrogance, control, manipulation and rebellion in the name of Jesus.
I break and release myself of all the curses of death and destruction in the name of Jesus.
I break and rebuke all curses of sickness and infirmity in the name of Jesus.
I break and release myself of every course of poverty, lack, and debt in Jesus’ name.
I break and release myself of all curses of rejection in the name of Jesus.
I break and release myself of all curses of double-mindedness and schizophrenia in the name of Jesus.
I break and release myself of all curses of Jezebel and Ahab in the name of Jesus.
I break and release myself of all curses of divorce and separation in the name of Jesus.
I break and release myself from all curses of lust, and perversion in the name of Jesus.
I break and release myself of all the curses of confusion, and mental illness in the name of Jesus.
I break and release myself of all curses from idolatry in the name of Jesus.
I break and release myself from all curses of causing accidents and premature death in the name of Jesus.
I break and release myself of all curses of wondering and vagabond spirits in the name of Jesus.
I break and release myself from all curse words and negative words spoken over me by others or by myself in the name of Jesus.
I break and release myself from all seld inflected curses in the name of Jesus.
I speak in the name of Jesus and command every demon that is hiding and that is operating behind the curtain of any of these curses to be broken and come out in Jesus’ name.

Breaking Soul Ties

Sexual relationships outside of marriage … are called soul ties and each one could be an entry point for demon spirits.

“Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, ‘The two will become one flesh. ‘” ~ 1 Cor. 6:16

But soul ties can also come through friendships. We see that in the story of David and Jonathan.

“After David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself. ” ~ 1 Samuel 18:1

David and Jonathan had a good soul tie, however, if someone in a friendship wants to dominate the other person the relationship is not healthy and can create ungodly soul ties. What I want you to understand that as you pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you any current or past relationships that might have created a soul tie, don’t ignore the names that come to your mind that might not be from a sexual relationship.

Soul ties must be broken by confessing them as sin and choosing to be free from them. It would be best if you could do so by denouncing each one by name. Soul ties can form through porn also, that’s why some of you go back to the same porn site and watch the same videos, in this case just describe the person or use their online names. The deliverance process involves canceling the permission of evil spirits to be in your life. This prayer and renunciation will cancel consent that was granted through soul ties.

Father, I confess the sin of sexual relations outside of marriage. I renounce that sinful activity in Jesus’ name.  I forgive (put their name).  I release (use their name) from the harm she/he has caused me and let it go. I break the unhealthy soul ties between me and (use their name). I send back any part of their soul that I have kept and I take back that part of me that they kept. I denounce soul ties with them and choose to be free in Jesus’s name. God please wash me of this connection and restore my connection with you in this area of my soul. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
